
Telehealth Therapy
Equipment Needed:
- Smartphone, laptop, desktop computer.
- Reliable Internet connection. Recommended: Connect directly to the router using an Ethernet cable for wired Internet, but a wireless network should work as well.
- Google Chrome, Safari or Mozilla Firefox Internet Browser
- Webcam. Most recent laptops have built-in webcams which work great for online therapy sessions. If you have a desktop PC or Marc without one, you can purchase an external webcam.
How to Connect to Your Simple Practice Therapy Session:
- You will receive a text or email with a video link prior to your appointment.
- Click on the Join Video Call link in the email or text.
- Allow access to your camera and microphone.
- Enter your name and click Enter/Join to enter the virtual waiting room.
- Once you have entered the virtual waiting room, the therapist will be notified and will allow you access to the virtual treatment room at your appointment time.
You can also join SimplePractice session by:
Logging into the Client Portal and clicking Join Video in the Appointments tab
Download the Telehealth by SimplePractice app for iOS or Android
Opening the app, pasting the video link, and entering your name
Tapping Start video appointment in the SimplePractice mobile app
Helpful Tips:
- Set up/connect 5-10 minutes before the appointment start time, especially your first time to ensure you are able to connect successfully.
- Ensure you have a space with privacy during the session to be free of distractions and allow you to be candid
- If you have difficulty logging in, contact your therapist immediately.
